Growing community, friendship & produce
Looking after three sites spread across Kenilworth, KATA aims to empower local people in their endeavours to grow delicious, seasonal produce in an environmentally responsible way whilst looking after our precious wildlife and each other
katapod is here!
Oooh, pop your earphones in and the kettle on before settling down to listen to the rather pleasant folk that populate our sites and the stories they have to share.
PUMPKIN SHOCKER
A late entrant to this year’s pumpkin weigh-in (held in a socially-distant format outside the trading shed) saw Chris Newbold’s entry usurp that of what everyone thought had been the winner up to that point. Click on to find the scores on the doors…
Open Day 2020
Was a huge, stupendous, marvellous, much-appreciated, well-attended, unfettered success:
500+ folk came along
half of them voted in the people’s vote for best scarecrow
plotholders generously donated fruits, flowers, veg and wotsits
The Committee would like to thank everyone who volunteered their help, the donors of produce, the visitors for coming and PAULA, for planning a day that was really appreciated by so many lovely people.
And for folk that couldn’t make it or for those who came and would like a reminder of how fabulous a day it really was, here’s a first - KATA’s very own film version of the event. Hope you all enjoy watching yourselves!
